The anger that comes with not being able to make something work

OH how frustrating! I Cant get the comment link to be visible.  Nothing I do works.  This is so irritating.  I want to know what people think.  *pouts*

First wave

Well the first wave hit and during the lull we went out to shovel. THis snow was much harder to shovel due to teh wet nature of it. It was raining and then sleeting while we shoved which was not fun at all.

Found out my boots are only good in snow and not in water :( bummers. But hey at least they only gave out just before we went inside. Now they are drying over the heating vent along with gloves hats etc. Maybe thats why the house feels so cold BRRR. Mom says I just need to get moving again. Maybe so.

Ok here are some pictures of us attacking the driveway.

Lots of new posts

Hey I'm stuck at home so thats why you are all blessed with updates from me. ;)

as I type we have at least 3 more inches of snow. Thank goodness Saturdays snow already melted some and compacted down so it wasn't the full 20 something inches.

The forcast is for 12-18 inches in my area. Blah

Look for more updates tomorrow as the snow continues to fall into Wednesday night
Well its starting. The craziness continues as the first snow flakes are falling to begin the third large snowfall of this winter. This one is just days on the heals of the last one. So far its more then flurries but can't call it actually snowing.

Looking back

Day off -- what to do? Sort through memories.

See I was given the pleasure of being homeschooled for 12 years. For some of those years my mother had us put together what was dubbed "lap packs" (dont ask me why :P ) where we compiled that months work into a cool collage of flaps and such.

I realized just how into it I got as I went back through this material. I can't believe the detailed some of my projects were. Some of the lap packs were intricately put together as well.

I am still SIGNIFICANTLY grateful for the invention of the computer and SPELL CHECK! I have already used it more then 5 times in the past 5 sentences *blushes* yah mom tried really hard but it never sunk in. I did spelling till I graduated highschool and looking through my tests I needed it! Sad I know

Another cool thing is my writing projects. Thats basically all I am saving out of all this stuff. I loved to write (despite my spelling issues) and still do. Some of the things I wrote about are funny, some serious, some just school motivated (reports on places like Germany would not be on my list of fun things to do). I saw a writing project labeled September 11, 2001 and I haven't had the heart to read it just yet. It was written when the whole tragedy was still fresh in my heart and I know it will carry emotion and something such a tender heart should never had to witness.

Maybe I will retype some of them up and post them here -- who knows.

Organized Chaos

Its highly annoying when I am to wide awake to go to sleep yet to tired to do anything?

So I sit and make lists in my head of things to do including what I should post here on my blog - how ironic is that.

Hows everyone's taxes coming along? I was so anxious to get mine started and then my hard drive went on me so I had to wait to get it replaced. And now that its fixed I havent had the time to start. Looks like thats on tomorrows order of business. Im going to try to stay as organized as I can with it, I'm usually pretty good but you know how it gets when you are busy and not really making the effort.

Keeping things organized and tidy is something I enjoy but have a hard time doing with my small room. Its not that I am ungrateful its just hard to have one space be 4 things. Office, bedroom, doggrooming, hair dressing. Ever try to mesh that many things in one room and keep it organized? its like organized chaos. :(

TERRIBLE about updating

WOW its been ages since I updated this.

Well for the goat end of my life we are gearing up for kidding season as breeding is all done at least I hope the last doe took *fingers crossed*

This year I have 4 does due within a couple week span around Easter weekend AHHH and then one due the end of June (silly doe decided she didnt like bucks till just the other day).

Right now our area is bracing for the next large storm of the winter. We had a huge storm back in December (record breaking for that time of year) with 24 inches of snow. This next storm is suppose to be close to that with 12-24 inches predicted.

I hope to go back to the normal commentaries of my life here with goats -- stay tuned.
